The etched stainless steel process consists of putting a resist layer on certain parts of the stainless steel sheet and then chemically removing the exposed metal. Through such a procedure, it becomes possible to achieve clear recessed designs with fine depth and high contrast.

Different patterns as well as custom artwork can be ordered. The etch pattern may be used in combination with an 8K mirror finish, brushed, sandblast, natural, or PVD colored surface treatment. The etch itself can stay in the stainless steel natural color or may have a contrasting PVD finish.

Etched sheets of stainless steel may be manufactured to serve as decorative panels for walls, lift doors and cabin panels, screens, partitions, signages, door panels, ceilings, column covers, furniture panels, retail display boards, and artistic creations.

They have a wide range of applications such as in hotels, shopping centers, office complexes, luxurious homes, restaurants, museums, galleries, lifts, reception areas, etc.

Material grades: Stainless steel 304 and 316.

Standard sizes: 1000 × 2000 mm, 1219 × 2438 mm, and 1219 × 3048 mm.

Thickness: 0.6–3.0 mm.

Widths: 1000 mm, 1219 mm, and 1500 mm.

Lengths: 2000 mm, 2438 mm, 3048 mm, and 4000 mm. Custom sizes are available upon request.

Base finishes: 8K mirror, brushed, sandblasted, or natural stainless steel.

Pattern options: Standard designs, geometric patterns, textures, text, logos, and custom artwork.

Цвета: Natural stainless steel, color-filled details, or PVD colors such as gold, rose gold, black, and bronze.

Protection and packaging: PVC protective film with a wooden crate or reinforced iron frame.

304 Grade is appropriate for general indoor decor purposes. The grade has relatively good corrosion resistance, consistent supply and affordable appearance performance ratio. The typical applications of 304 Grade include elevators interior, indoor walls, ceiling, furniture, retail display and residential projects.

On the other hand, 316 Grade has improved corrosion resistance in terms of humid, coastal, chloride, and more severe environments. 316 Grade is advisable for exterior panels, coastal buildings, swimming pools, saunas and other projects requiring high performance appearance retention.

Despite its better corrosion resistance, 316 Grade is more expensive in terms of materials. The ultimate choice of the grades to use should also be made based on project location, moisture, salt, pollution and maintenance.
