Aluminum is widely used in modern architecture because it combines lightweight performance, corrosion resistance, excellent formability, and a wide range of surface finish options. Compared with many traditional building materials, aluminum helps reduce structural load while maintaining reliable strength and design flexibility.
For commercial buildings, hotels, residential projects, transportation hubs, stadiums, and large public spaces, aluminum materials can be processed into flat panels, perforated panels, carved panels, honeycomb composite panels, profiles, ceilings, and customized decorative systems.
The aluminum alloy series offer different levels of strength, corrosion resistance, formability and surface finish. Our experts recommend the right aluminum grade depending on your projects’ requirements and the installation site as well as on the panels’ structure and surface finish.
1000 Series Aluminum
The 1000 series aluminum are high-purity aluminum materials. They have especially good corrosion resistance and very good electrical and thermal conductivity. The materials are very easy to form and are used for decorative panels, for interior applications as well as for applications where a very good surface finishing performance is required.
3000 Series Aluminum
The 3000 Series of aluminum are Manganese alloys. They have greater strength than Pure Aluminum while being very formable and easily weldable. The most common 3000 series aluminum used for sheet metal is 3003. 3003 aluminum is often used to make Architectural Panels, Ceilings, and decorative general use sheet metal products.
5000 Series Aluminum
The 5000 series aluminum is a higher strength alloy with good corrosion resistance. This alloy is commonly used for outdoor work, such as facade panels, as well as work in marine environments or situations where weather resistance is important.
6000 Series Aluminum
The 6000 series aluminum contains magnesium and silicon. The 6000 series aluminum offers excellent strength, corrosion resistance, machinability and has excellent extrusion properties. The 6000 series aluminum is commonly used for aluminum profiles, doors and windows, curtain wall systems, aluminum frames and for decorative structural components.
7000 Series Aluminum
The 7000 series aluminum are primarily zinc alloyed and exhibit high strength. These aluminum materials are used for special applications which require higher mechanical properties. The choice of these aluminum materials is based on engineering requirements as well as the surface finish treatment requirements.

The surface treatment of aluminum is crucial to the material’s appearance, durability and weather resistance. INOXFURT METAL offers a variety of surface coatings and finishes, suitable for any style or application.
Anodizing
Anodizing Anodizing forms a protective oxide layer on an aluminum surface through an electrochemical process. This layer is designed to increase the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the surface, as well as its stability. The anodic layer can also absorb color dyes. Common colors include silver, champagne, bronze and black.
PVDF Coating
Coating PVDF coating is the most common coating used for exterior aluminum curtain walls and facade panels. The PVDF coating provides strong weather resistance, UV resistance, color stability and ensures a long lasting outdoor performance. PVDF coating is used for commercial buildings, high-rise facade projects and many other applications that are exposed to harsh weather conditions.
Powder Coating
In powder coating, dry powder is applied to the surface of the aluminum by means of electrostatic spraying and then cured at high temperature. Powder coating provides consistent color and good surface coverage with many decorative possibilities. It is used for both interior and exterior aluminum products.
Wood Grain and Stone Grain Transfer
Wood grain and stone grain transfer finishes allow aluminum panels to imitate natural materials while maintaining the advantages of metal, such as durability, dimensional stability, and easier maintenance.
Decorative Finishing
Brushing, mirror polishing, embossing, perforation, carving, and custom texture processing can be used to create unique visual effects for hotels, commercial interiors, luxury spaces, and landmark architectural projects.
Lightweight with Reliable Strength
Aluminum has a low density, helping reduce building load and installation pressure. It is especially suitable for high-rise buildings, large panels, ceiling systems, and facade projects where weight control is important.
Excellent Processability
Aluminum has excellent processability. It can be cut, bent, folded, welded, punched, carved, perforated, extruded and in many other ways processed to any form. The material allows for all kind of architectural applications and special productions.
Strong Corrosion Resistance
Corrosion Resistance – Strong Aluminum forms a natural protective oxide film on its surface. Anodizing, PVDF coating or powder coating increases the corrosion resistance and weather resistance of aluminum for interior and exterior applications.
Rich Surface and Color Options
Aluminum offers a wide and rich variety of surfaces and colors to finish and to decorate. Among others there are anodized colors, RAL colors, brushed, polished mirror, wood look, stone look, perforated in various patterns and designs and much more and also many other custom made textures and surface finishes.
Suitable for Large Architectural Projects
Aluminum panels and profiles are widely used in large Architectural Projects. Aluminum is frequently used in curtain walls, ceilings, building facade, sunshades, grilles and other custom metal architectural systems. Typical projects where aluminum is often used are large commercial buildings, hotels, public spaces, such as airports and stations, and other large transportation projects.
Recyclable and Project-Friendly
Aluminum Recyclable and Project-Friendly Aluminum is recyclable and suitable for long lasting durable structures that are light, easy to maintain and finish in many different ways. It has a long service life and is ideal for modern architectural decorations.
