The reflectivity of mirrored stainless steel (8K) can reach over 90%, approaching the effect of glass mirrors.
Mirror surfaces are very susceptible to fingerprints and scratches. Avoid contact with hard objects and wipe with a soft, clean cloth. Use a special stainless steel polish.
It can be welded, but welding is extremely challenging. Laser welding is typically used to minimize marks, and professional grinding and polishing are required to restore the mirror finish.
304 mirror finish is not suitable for long-term outdoor or humid environments and is prone to “orange peel” or pitting. 316 mirror finish has superior corrosion resistance and is more suitable for such environments.
